Whole 30 Reintroduction – Day 1

Friday

Wow, I can’t believe I made it 30 days following all the rules – with food!  That’s something I really wasn’t sure I could do. Of course I had at least three nights where I dreamed I had eaten something off-plan.  🙂

I was so excited that the first thing to bring back was wine!  Then I got to thinking about the categories I had to reintroduce and how I had to leave two days in between categories, and then I got out my fingers and a calendar to do some counting, and realized that I would have to skip the booze if I wanted to finish this reintroduction before I leave on vacation.   For some reason I had it in my head “10 Day Reintroduction”.  But if you include booze on Day 31, it really works out to be 15 days.  That’s two more weeks!  Sheesh.  But I’m heading to Texas to see my folks in 12 days, so that’s out.  Oh well.  I’ve gone this long without wine, I can go two more weeks.

So today I’m bringing back legumes. I see peanut butter in my very near future.  Adams No-Stir Peanut Butter is the best!  Ingredients – peanuts, palm oil, salt.  And it’s smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy!

Oh, and back on the scale this morning.  Weight – 134.  I lost 7 pounds!  Unfortunately, I think that’s mostly muscle since I haven’t worked out a single time in the last month.  But I do feel a bit less thick around the middle.  So yay!
